IF. Cocoon

I caught a program this week (Dive, Dive, Dive! BBC 4) on the history of the submarine in films and although I’m no sailor, I can get sea sick in the bath, found it fascinating. Tense, claustrophobic, terrifying was the overall feeling of most of the movies but I couldn’t help be think I’d rather be inside than out.

I love this illo. Not only is it a different interpretation of the topic, but the way you composed it with the clear focal point and then the subtle monsters is really clever.

This is officially my favorite Mark Cavell piece. I have a small obsession with submarines, so of course this appeals to me...but it's the overall design that is just incredible. The colours are freakin' beautiful.

I want this framed on a wall in my office!

Outstanding Mark.

Great illustration. It's menacing and whimsical at the same time.
